Ellis County Courthouse

The southwest face of the Ellis County Courthouse in Waxahachie. Constructed in 1897 and renovated in 2002, the courthouse is one of a number designed by architect J. Riely Gordon in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The facade is constructed primarily of Burnet County red granite and Pecos red sandstone.
